Chloe Olson, Age 5 (Continued)

Chloe Olson was at home when her mom began choking and couldn’t speak. Chloe picked up the phone and dialed 911. The dispatcher asked, “Where’s your emergency?”

Chloe responded, “Daddy? Hello? Daddy, Mommy’s choking.”

The dispatcher told Chloe, “Open the front door. I’ll be right there.”

Chloe replied, “Love you. Bye.”

The emergency crew arrived within minutes. Luckily, Chloe’s mom stopped choking before they arrived.

Chloe’s parents, Kerry and Douglas Olson, credit the Ridgewood Fire and Police Departments for Chloe’s reactions to an emergency. During a school visit they introduced students to the very catchy YouTube tune called “911”.  Olivia, Chloe’s 8-year-old sister, shares it, “Don’t be scared. Pick up the phone and call 911.”
