Robbie Bond founded Kids Speak for Parks, a non-profit organization. His goal is to educate kids and their families about the importance of national parks and monuments and inspire them to get involved in protecting them.

Robbie and his mom, Michelle, and dad, Robin, who helped him establish Kids Speak for Parks, are touring the United States to see the 27 national monuments under review by the Trump administration. The trio post videos and photos of their tour on social media, to encourage people to save these important monuments.

Robbie is using the national parks annual Every Kid in the Park Pass that gives fourth graders and their families free access to federal parks. During the journey, Robbie collects signatures on a petition to send to the Trump administration, stating that these monuments need to be protected. Robbie also wants to mobilize an army of fourth graders to speak out for public lands.

Part of Robbie’s inspiration was derived from the Dr. Seuss book and movie, The Lorax, and message, “The Lorax speaks for the trees.”

Robbie explained, “We can’t get the parks back once they are damaged or destroyed, and I want to ensure the parks are available for future generations.”
